TMEA -- February 7-10, 2024 -- San Antonio, Texas (TGDA Booth 016 in Exhibit Hall and Annual Session, 8:00am, Sat. Feb. 10 at the TMEA Convention).
Collin College Guitar Festival, February 8, 9, 2024 -- Plano, Texas -- FREE. Featuring: Dr. Olga Amelkina-Vera, Dr. Fernand Vera
Texas Guitar Competition and Festival -- UT Dallas -- February 29 – March 2, 2024.
Southwest Guitar Symposium -- UT San Antonio -- March 8-10, 2024.
The Brownsville Guitar Ensemble Festival -- April 4, 5, 6, 2024. With a competition component (up to 3 ensembles per school). Brownsville, TX.
Hill Country Guitar Ensemble Festival -- Texas State University in San Marcos -- April 5, 6, 2024. (Competition event is for duos, trios, quartets or large ensembles).
The Houston Classical Guitar Festival -- June 10-15, 2024.
The Summer Guitar Conservatory, in Houston, June 17-29, 2024 -- free for students. There is no competition at this event, however there is an Advanced Ensemble that students can audition for. In addition, the SGC has a teacher-training program (with up to 14 hours of TGDA CPE credits) and an adult guitar student program, for adults that want to practice their ensemble and solo chops.
Austin Classical Guitar/GuitarCurriculum Teacher Summit - July 18-20 (Baker Center, Austin) -- 3-day intensive workshop designed to prepare teachers who are new to the guitar classroom and to improve the playing and instruction of experienced guitar teachers. Expert faculty also assist music teachers in developing their guitar-playing skills.

2:30 pm -- Rehearsal (cont'd) / PML Consultation and Review Committee
3:30 pm -- Select Pieces for Saturday Recording as a Group (Same conductors as reading session)
4:00 pm -- Keynote Speaker:
6:00 pm -- Dinner, Local Restaurant

9:00 am -- Conducting Workshop, Warm-ups and Sight-Reading for Ensemble
10:00 am – Guitar Ensemble Repertoire for All Levels

2:00 pm -- TGDA Annual Session 2024
